Thea's Birthday

Thea's tenth birthday (can you believe it?!!) was in July. We celebrated several times! First, she got presents at lunchtime on her actual birthday. Caeli Xiu gave her some cute little figures she had been wanting, and Tony and I gave her a small desktop aquarium with all the stuff to set it up to keep a betta. (Betta didn't work out so well, and neither did the follow up goldfish. We're currently on fish #3, a glow fish. Hope this one works out better!) We also promised her new furniture for her own bedroom, as we have been planning for her to move to her own room upstairs.

A little later in the month, we had her actual birthday party. We rented the neighborhood pool for a couple of hours and invited the immediate family and several of her friends. Unfortunately, almost all of her friends were out of town; luckily, almost all of the family made it. We had fun with Molly's and Meghan's babies, Tony's silly siblings, and all Thea's cousins!

The final part of the birthday celebration/present was Thea's new room. It turned out great! Have a look:

It was a great birthday and birth month for Thea!

My Science Project

Hi, this is Thea. For the past few weeks I have been working on a science project. Here is what I came up with. The name of my science project is “What is a Pulse?”. My hypothesis was that everyone’s resting pulse would be two digits and apparently I was wrong. Here is the information from my presentation.

Since I didn’t have time to write things that could have affected the results here are some. Firstly people could have been excited, nervous or even angry about something. Secondly I didn’t take everyone’s pulse myself (I let some of the kids do their own). My results are interesting right?

What's Been Going On?

Been a long time, huh? Here's a quick look at what's been going on:

We celebrated the first anniversary of Caeli's "Gotcha Day".

We had a family picture made.

The girls were a ladybug and a devil for Halloween!

Somebody used a (washable, non-toxic) watercolor marker as lipstick.

We decorated our Christmas tree.

Santa visited us!

Our girls posed for some sweet Christmas photos.

We visited our family in North Carolina.

Caeli got some fab new clothes and boots.

Thea was a fairy in her class play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream". She did a great job!

We had a little snow!

And then spring finally came.

A new member came to our family, my sister Meghan's son, Grayson.

We had fun dying Easter eggs!

We're just finishing up spring break this weekend, and then we're in the home stretch of the school year. Caeli has joined the toddler class at Thea's old Montessori school, and Thea is still doing great at her current Montessori school.

Will it be another 6 months before I post again? Maybe so and maybe not!
